Mama, It's Okay to Feel Tired and Overwhelmed

Hey, Mama! Are you feeling tired and overwhelmed lately? I know how it feels like. Being a mother and running a business can be a handful. On top of that, the web3 industry has made everything feel like it's changed. It's easy to lose track of time and priorities when everything seems to be in chaos. But don't worry, you're not alone. In this blog post, I'll share some insights and tips on how to manage your tiredness and overwhelm while running a business and being a mama.

Accept How You Feel

First things first, mama. You need to give yourself credit for all the hard work you do day in and day out. Running a business and being a mama is no easy feat, especially during these challenging times. It's okay to feel tired, overwhelmed, and out of sorts. Allow yourself to acknowledge those feelings, and don't beat yourself up for not being able to do everything at once.

Rest and Recharge

There’s only so much humanly possible for you to achieve in a day. So, taking a break once in a while won't hurt your business or your kids. When you're feeling exhausted, step back and allow yourself to rest. Take a nap, read a book or go outside for a walk. It'll help clear your mind and make you feel refreshed. Moreover, practice makes perfect, mama. Learning how to say "no" to obligations that don't serve you or your business needs will help you maintain a healthy balance.

Delegate

You can't do everything on your own, and that's okay. It's essential to admit that you need help when running a business while parenting. You don't need to be in control of everything all the time, Mama. Delegate tasks that you can to capable people who can help with the workload, and even better, hire someone to assist you if your business can afford it. This is an excellent way to free up your time to focus on what's essential in running your business or spending quality time with your kids.

Prioritize

Managing time as a mama and business owner can be a challenge. Prioritizing tasks and setting boundaries will help you maintain focus. I have talked about this alot and have not been practicing it myself lately (yes calling myself out) -- use a planner or scheduling app to organize your time and tasks. Make time for what's important like spending time with your kids, self-care, and your business. This can help ensure that you get to everything with your full attention.

Communicate and Connect

Being a business owner and a parent, you can tend to feel isolated. Talking through your struggles with family or friends can make a huge difference. Being able to connect with a community of mothers and entrepreneurs who have a similar lifestyle as you can also be helpful. Not only can they relate, but they can also offer support and advice that you find helpful.

There's no denying that balancing running a business and parenting is an unenviable task, and throwing a pandemic into the mix is an entirely different beast. However, Mama, with the right mindset and tools, you can manage your tiredness and overwhelm. Take time to rest and recharge, delegate tasks, prioritize your time, and seek social support. You won't get everything perfect every time, but you'll find your way through, Mama! You got this. And always remember, It's okay to feel tired and overwhelmed, but it's never okay to give up. Keep pushing forward, Mama!
